Role and responsibilities
Tamsin relishes her wide-ranging role at Ultima
“At Ultima, there’s the part of the business that’s customer facing – our sales teams and engineers and consultants. Then there’s the delivery function in the middle – fulfilling the services our customers buy. Then I’m responsible for everything at the back end. That includes Business Systems, Data Analytics, People and Talent as well as the finance function.”
Building a leadership partnership
Tamsin relishes working with a CEO like Scott and enjoys the way their roles complement each other.
“A big reason I chose to join Ultima was because I wanted to work with a CEO who’s a visionary, rather than one who’s focused on operations and delivery. When Scott sets out his aspirations for Ultima, it is my role to co-create the strategy with him and empower the team to achieve the vision.”
"
For Ultima to be successful, I need to be in tune with every operational metric in the business. It's my responsibility to be able to harness how these levers and drivers impact our financial growth."
Maintaining financial security and stability
As you’d expect, Tamsin is responsible for keeping Ultima financially secure. She’s the voice of surety and integrity to Ultima’s investors, demonstrating the financial stability and growth of the business, and ensuring its private equity backers feel confident their investments are in safe hands.
Transforming company culture
Tamsin’s passion for unlocking people’s potential has seen her take responsibility for employee engagement, and for making Ultima a place of trust and safety.
"
Enabling people to realise their potential, express themselves and act autonomously…all of that has a direct impact on the numbers. Without those things, you won’t have growth. So, creating a positive culture and environment is absolutely key to my role as CFO.”
