Role and responsibilities
For Richard, the values shared by Ultima and The AntiSocial Engineer made their relationship feel like a natural partnership
“The AntiSocial Engineer may not be not-for-profit but we’re absolutely a business of passion and purpose – which is to reduce cybercrime and vulnerability to social engineering attacks. At the same time, Ultima’s leadership team genuinely desire to help our customers gain more security focus, and that’s where I see a really positive alignment.
I built The AntiSocial engineer as a successful business from the grass roots, with no investment or seed funding. But like any small company, our potential was capped by our scale. Joining forces with Ultima will take us to the next level because it gives us the backing and resources to widen our horizons and reach more people and businesses with our message.”
Ethics and values
Richard felt an immediate sense of affinity with Ultima’s commitment to their customers’ information security.
“I’m right behind Ultima’s emphasis on resilience – that’s paramount for me. Ultima and I share the same aspiration: we want to help make businesses more secure and protect them from the impact of reputational damage. This, in turn, will help make them more efficient and better able to meet their business goals. So joining forces with Ultima was the right thing for us do, both commercially and ethically.”

"
My role and my career are focused on the social engineering side of cybersecurity. We already go further than traditional testing by targeting companies the way an attacker would – identifying weaknesses and helping to improve your defences through the right mix of training and technology solutions.”
Enhanced customer protection
“My role and my career are focused on the social engineering side of cybersecurity. We already go further than traditional testing by targeting companies the way an attacker would – identifying weaknesses and helping to improve your defences through the right mix of training and technology solutions.
This will continue to be my role within Ultima – but amplified. That means more opportunities to advise businesses on defending themselves against social engineering, with Ultima’s depth of managed cyber security services and solutions to complement what we do when required. It’s a win-win for our customers.”
